#964: The Lady Vanishes

October 31, 2014

Notes from the Manager

Related Strips: #962: Mercury Rising; #963: Salt

Hey, an on-time Friday strip!

So everything James Hines says here is generally true of the movie theater industry (in the US) over the last twenty-five years or so. People interested in reading more about this (I know one or two of you exist) might check out Screen Traffic by Charles Acland. The book and its statistics stop around 2003, but statistics on the industry are published by the National Association of Theater Owners (the other NATO) every year, as well.

Minnesotans: Don’t forget that I am at MetaCon all this weekend (October 31–November 2). Drop by an see me!

Multiplex 10 is here!

Although Multiplex 10 has ended, an animated prequel/reboot called Multiplex 10 was funded through Kickstarter in 2017 and is NOW AVAILABLE for rent or purchase on Vimeo On Demand, Amazon Video, and elsewhere! And an all-new, irregularly-updated Multiplex 10 web series (set after the short film) recently launched on YouTube! Learn more about the web series on the official Multiplex 10 website!

Stay up to date on all things Multiplex, Multiplex 10 and me (a.k.a. Gordon McAlpin) by subscribing to my newsletter!
