Ellie 2 previously appeared in the first two of the Related Strips (#650 and #817), first as a special effect in the gang’s zombie movie, and then as background prop in #817 (and maybe another strip or two?).
The title, of course, comes from the French supernatural drama (available on Netflix here in the US), The Returned (in its original language, Les Revenants). Tom, Joe and myself reviewed The Returned on The Triple Feature about a month ago, if you’re curious.
