#435: A Tangled Webb

January 21, 2010

Notes from the Manager

In case you missed the little note at the bottom of the strip: Kurt made up the stuff in panel 8. Marc Webb is officially attached to the next Spider-Man movie, though. And while Spider-Man 3 and Marc Webb's debut feature (500) Days of Summer both had musical bits, while Webb's name has been linked to an in-development remake of Jesus Christ Superstar, and while the next Spider-Man movie will revolve around a teenaged Spider-Man, it will not be Spider-Man: the High School Musical.

Or… at least, not yet.

Trailer Watch: The Theory of Everything trailer

Friday, August 15, 2014

There’s no telling how the film will turn out, but the trailer for The Theory of Everything impressed me by having a respectably balanced focus on both the life of Stephen Hawking (and relationship with his first wife) and the work he is so admired for, unlike so many other film biographies of so-called Great Men.

James Marsh (Man on Wire) directs Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones in the November 7th release.
