What Katie says here is sort of true. It’s next to impossible to nail down any dates for these kinds of eras, but that’s (to Katie and Jason) part of the joke. I think most film historians would be more inclined to label a movie modern(ist) or postmodern based on its content, though, not solely when it was created.
