Multiplex eBook #1 coverMultiplex eBook Collection #1
WOWIO Edition: $2.50  FREE!
38 pages (Winter 2008)

The first Multiplex eBook Collection collects the first 24 strips (from July through November 2005), as well as four character bios, two guest strips, and seven strips not found in the Multiplex archives.

The best part is, it's FREE — and yet, through the magic of advertising, I do make a little money from each download, so by getting yours, you're helping support Multiplex and making the long-awaited Multiplex print collection just a little bit sooner...!

Unfortunately, the WOWIO edition is currently only available in the United States.

High Definition Edition: $2.50

38 pages (Spring 2008)

How much of a difference does a few thousand dpi make? The “High Definition Edition” gets you up close and personal with the Multiplex gang. Seriously up close.

I draw Multiplex in Adobe Illustrator, which means the artwork is more or less infinitely scaleable in its native form — but in order to compress the file down to WOWIO'S (sort of) standard 10 mb size, the art for the WOWIO Edition was converted to compressed bitmap images. The pages still looked fantastic at full size, but if you magnified it very much to get a closer look at the art, you would start seeing artifacts and such very quickly.

The High Definition Edition leaves the vector-based artwork intact (movie posters and film stills in the ebook are still downsampled), so you can zoom into every panel with your PDF reader up to 6400% and the characters and backgrounds will stay crisp and sharp. Check out these samples at my Flickr page to compare the two editions.

Good news for non-US readers: the High Definition edition is available to anybody with a credit card or a PayPal account. (WARNING: Please disable any download accelerators before beginning your download; there is a set limit to the number of downloads you can make, and your accelerator may use them all up. If you have any problems with the download or the file, do not hesitate to contact me.)

“(Mutilate Us)” (The Multiplex Theme) — AM/FM (MP3, 0:12, 192 kb)
Used with the kind permission of Brian Sokel of AM/FM

When I first started developing the idea for Multiplex, I wanted to do it as a series of animated shorts, and from the very beginning, I knew that I wanted this twelve-second bit of silliness to be the official “theme song” to Multiplex. Check out some free, full-length MP3’s of AM/FM’s glorious indie pop at the Polyvinyl Records website, or buy their music at the iTunes Music Store.

Multiplex: The Soundtrackicon (12 songs, 42:55, 50.6 mb)

I made this iTunes playlist to listen to while I worked on some of the sappy teen drama stuff from early 2007. It's mostly the sort of mopey, whiney indie rock that I listen to entirely too much, but maybe you like that sort of music, too.
