Trailer Watch: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes final trailer

Shit yeah.

Trailer Watch: Guardians of the Galaxy UK trailer

A bit more serious than the US trailer, this new UK trailer is loaded with new footage and a bit more of Peter Quill’s back story. This looks like a lot of fun. Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1, 2014.

(P.S. Americans, The Avengers was called Avengers Assemble in the UK because of duh.)

Trailer Watch: The Book of Life trailer

This looks insane. I love it.

Here’s the synopsis, but the trailer tells you all you really need to know:

An animated comedy with a unique visual style, “The Book of Life” is the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds where he must face his greatest fears. Rich with a fresh take on pop music favorites, “The Book of Life” encourages us to celebrate the past while looking forward to the future.

Guillermo del Toro produced this, as well, although it’s hard to tell how involved he is. I’d guess co-writer and director Jorge R. Gutierrez is shaping this more than anyone else. Anyway, the film comes out on October 17, 2014.

Trailer Watch: Mood Indigo US trailer

Michel Gondry’s Mood Indigo hit just about every other country in the world last year, but those of us in the US are finally get it (in limited release) on July 18th.
