Trailer Watch: X-Men: Days of Future Past official trailer 2

Via the official X-Men Movies YouTube channel comes the latest trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, joining the cast of the original X-Men movies with that of X-Men: First Class.

X-Men and X2: X-Men United director Bryan Singer returns to the director’s chair (he also produced X-Men: First Class, but Matthew Vaughn directed that puppy). In this new trailer, it looks like Bryan Singer’s gotten better at action, though some of the effects are kind of goofy. (In all likelihood, the Beast will never look good with practical make-up.) The story and the emotional beats that come with it will be the star, though, and that’s where Singer shines.

What do you think?

First Class helped me fall in love with the X-Men again after years of indifference.

I really hope this is a win and this trailer does have me positive. Starting it on Stewart narration was the perfect move.

Holy Mother of God’s Shit Balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This trailer makes the movie look sooooo good. I really hope it’s not giving me false hope.

More than overly psyched for this one. It looks damned near perfect, hopefully not due just to the best editor working on the trailer. First class was good and this only looks like it’ll get better.
So I had a little nerdgasm over here.

I was very disappointed that this movie seems to be confirming both of the “Last Stand” and “First Class” disasters as part of the X-Men movie universe canon. (Although getting Fassbender’s Magneto is almost worth it)

The fact that “The Wolverine” actually seemed to care about story and character(despite a few missteps) means I’m hoping that they’ve learned their lesson.
