Multiplex - a comic strip about life at the movies
DELETED SCENES

Archive for February, 2014

They PRE-ORDERED Multiplex: There and Back Again (Book Two). What happened next blew their frickin’ minds.

(They got copies of it in the mail.)

Multiplex: There and Back Again final cover

Anyway, yep: it’s time. Surly film snob Jason, his horror buff BFF Kurt, and the rest of the staff of the Multiplex 10 Cinemas return in the second print collection of your favorite movie-themed webcomic, Multiplex. In this volume, we meet the Multiplex 10’s archnemeses, the staff of Flickhead Video, and Jason & Devi’s relationship hits the rocks.

Multiplex: There and Back Again collects strips #103–216 from the archives, plus over 20 bonus comics — and it is now available for PRE-ORDER from the Multiplex Store!

Book Two officially goes on sale on March 15, 2014. Order your copy now to make sure it’s shipped in the week of March 17th!

AND THAT’S NOT ALL. NOPE. The “This Isn’t Your Living Room” workplace poster featuring Jason is also available — also as a pre-order — and shipping alongside Book Two. The 18″x24″ poster is $10, and it is fucking awesome.

Trailer Watch: Godzilla official main trailer

KREEEEEE-ONNNNNGKKKKK
!!!!

Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla hits theaters on May 16.

The Triple Feature: Artificially Intelligent

This time on The Triple Feature, Tom, Joe and I talk about the JJ Abrams TV series Almost Human, Avengers A.I.: Human After All, and Robot & Frank.

Download: MP3 (23.2 mb)

Incidentally, I tried and failed to show the trailer for Robot & Frank, resulting in two minutes of staring at Joe. Heh. Oops. Well, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4y8YAMPFhk

I still need to figure out a good method for converting YouTube videos to downloadable audio-only podcasts — ideally automatically. Anybody know how to do that?

NEXT TIME (Monday, March 9th): Tom, Joe, and I will discuss and the entirety of the series True Detective, EDtv,* first two trade paperbacks of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips’ Fatale.

* Yes, seriously.

Trailer Watch: Guardians of the Galaxy, I guess?

Guardians of the Galaxy opens on August 1. Its trailer premiered on Jimmy Kimmel last night, and it is… a little weird.
